Country Representative Honduras / Resilience Delegate100 % – Place of work Tegucigalpa

The SRC supports the Honduran and the Salvadorian Red Cross Societies since over 20 years in their service delivery to vulnerable populations. For the management of the Central America programme, we are looking for a Country Coordinator/Resilience Delegate based in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, with frequent travel to El Salvador.    

What you will be doing

  • Facilitate SRCs strategic partnership with the Honduran Red Cross (HRC) and support the partner in its organizational development 
  • Manage SRCs Technical Resilience Office in Honduras, accompany and support technically our Sister National Societies in El Salvador and Honduras in Resilience programming
  • Assure adherence to SRC subregional programme 2025-28 including close collaboration with SRCs Technical Migration Office in El Salvador
  • Accompany HRC in the construction of its new blood bank in Tegucigalpa
  • Represent SRC at country and IFRC cluster level (Central America)
  • Tight and proactive cooperation with RC/RC Movement components and key stakeholders
  • Explore opportunities for partnering up within the region 
  • Responsible for security monitoring and management 
  • Provide regular updates on partnership dialogue, technical support in Resilience, context development, accountability and monitoring to SRC HQ and partners/donors

Your profile

  • University degree in a relevant field, preferably Resilience related technical background
  • Minimum of 5 years of international cooperation working experience as a manager, within the RC/RC Movement is an asset
  • Professional expertise / practitioner in Resilience programming
  • Professional experience in construction projects and/or emergency response is an asset 
  • Demonstrated experience in partner strengthening and leadership as well as project cycle, finance and security management 
  • Sound analytical capacity, team spirit, strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Proficient command in Spanish and English (both oral and written)

What you can expect
